Who We Are
Chauncey Cattle Company is a division of Brown's Farm at Chauncey Inc., located in Chauncey, Georgia. Browns Farm was formed by Roger J. Brown. Roger grew up raising cows, hogs, and other livestock while row cropping on the family farm. The farm where he grew up is still the central location and called the "home place" and has been in the Brown family for over 150 years. Today, the farm is home to a herd of Black Angus Cattle that span across 800 acres of grassland and other grazing. It’s operated by Roger, his wife Jenny, along with their son-in-law and daughter, Jamie and Caitlin Roberts. They all share a passion for raising high quality livestock and helping to provide beef to the consumer that is of the highest standard.
What We Do
Our farm brings high quality Angus beef from our farm to your table. We operate an all-natural and age-verified program cow/calf, backgrounding, and finishing program. Cattle are grass fed and grain finished. This means cattle are raised out in grass pastures until weaning. From there, cattle will be placed in a separate pen with grazing and a bulk feeder of all natural grains to help finish cattle. The beef from our cattle grade is 85% prime. Our cattle are handled with the utmost care for their well-being.
